My educational background is in Psychiatric Assisting and Criminal Justice Administration. I had been a State of Nebraska employee for 17 years. I worked in an administrative role with the Deaf/Deaf-Blind/Hard of Hearing communities, Department of Corrections and as a Mental Health Specialist during those years.

I volunteered with a local dog rescue for about 6 years, with the last several years as the Vice President.

I have 7 siblings, 3 nephews, 4 nieces, 1 great nephew and 1 great niece. We are a very close family. My brother-in-law races a hobby stock car so our summer weekends are spent cheering him on and camping!
