Emma Harrison is a doctoral psychology intern at Mount Saint Mary’s University, a program that emphasizes serving diverse populations and decolonizing psychology. She earned her master’s degree in Applied Psychology from Rutgers University, where she focused on problem drinking across the lifespan. Emma has experience providing therapy and psychological assessment across multiple settings, working with individuals presenting with a wide range of concerns and diagnoses.

In her clinical work, Emma’s approach is grounded in humanistic values and guided by the belief that therapy should adapt to the individual, using techniques and tools that best meet their needs in the moment. She integrates a variety of evidence-based interventions while also recognizing and honoring the longstanding healing practices found within communities. Emma is committed to fostering an inclusive and collaborative therapeutic environment where individuals feel heard, respected, and empowered.

On a personal note, Emma enjoys playing board games with friends and family, practicing yoga, and incorporating mindfulness into her daily life.
